The hybrid flux EO-Y-004, based on alcohol and water, was developed for use in wave and selective soldering and has a solids content of 3.5 - 3.7 wt.-%. It has a very wide range of applications. The soldering properties are very good, especially in terms of penetration and wetting of the circuit board. The process window is very wide, with high thermal stability. In practice, it has been shown that when used properly, washing of PCBs soldered with this flux can usually be dispensed with. The printed circuit boards are visually clean. The flux is available in ready-mixed form or as a concentrate (granulate).
