Covering oils have different tasks when used in wave soldering systems. On the one hand, they protect metal alloys against oxidation by oxygen, preventing oxide layers that can form around the solder wave. Secondly, they have a lubricating effect on the pump shaft. When developing the EO-COVERFLUID TESU cover oil, Emil Otto focused on good thermal stability and an optimum evaporation rate. This means that hard deposits can be avoided. By using EO-COVERFLUID TESU, very long oil service lives are achieved compared to products containing waxes or mineral oil-based oils. This reduces the maintenance and cleaning effort for wave soldering systems to a minimum.
