Emil Otto launches new flux remover on the market

Emil Otto is expanding its range of assembly cleaners to include a manually applied medium for removing flux residues.

The Flux-Remover EO-RA-007 is a clear, colorless cleaning fluid based on an isopropyl alcohol-solvent mixture, which has been developed for manual PCB cleaning of flux residues. The new cleaner can remove both resinous and resin-free residues. In addition to flux residues, all other contaminants such as dust, fingerprints, grease and oil can also be removed. The circuit board substrate is irrelevant, as EO-RA-007 does not react corrosively. The cleaner can therefore be used on all types of printed circuit boards.

EO-RA-007 is supplied in a 400mml spray can, which is fitted with a brush attachment. This allows the cleaning fluid to be applied to the PCB in a targeted and economical manner. As the cleaner is applied manually, care has been taken to ensure that the smell is pleasant and the application is as simple as possible. Furthermore, both internal and customer tests have shown that the period of residue-free evaporation is ideal for optimum cleaning in manual applications. EO-RA-007 evaporates quickly and leaves no residue. The cleaner can ideally be wiped off the assembly with an ESD cloth. EO-RA-007 is therefore ideal for reworking assemblies or for manual soldering.

The Flux-Remover is now available.
