In 2016, Emil Otto GmbH expanded its portfolio with ESD products, SMD adhesives and cleaning rollers for automatic stencil printers. "These were important steps for us. The commercial products match our core products, the fluxes. It is important to be able to offer our customers everything from a single source. We therefore decided to further expand our product portfolio," explains Geßner. However, the company has not been idle on the flux side either and presented a series of new developments at SMT 2016. "We are taking the next step in 2017 and will be able to offer our customers a whole range of new fluxes by SMT 2017," says Geßner happily.
One focus will be on alcohol-based fluxes, which can be used for wave, selective and hand soldering as well as dip tinning. However, there will also be new products for alcohol/water-based and purely water-based fluxes. Both flux groups are intended for use in wave, selective and hand soldering.
"Over the past few weeks, we have tested all new products on standard wave soldering systems. The results were extremely good and we are pleased to be able to offer our customers another range of promising fluxes," explains Geßner. Like the previous fluxes, these new developments will also be offered in various packaging units, tailored precisely to customer consumption. "We are currently preparing the new products for market launch. All products will be presented and available on the market by SMT," assures Geßner. Geßner left open the extent to which other products will be added to the portfolio as merchandise.
