The Belgian company Roartis has been offering adhesives for the electronics industry since 2008. "Even though the company is still relatively young, the founders have more than 13 years of experience in the production of adhesives. We were therefore able to enter into this partnership with a clear conscience," says Markus Geßner, authorized signatory of Emil Otto GmbH.
The Roartis product portfolio is extensive. In addition to classic SMD adhesives, it also offers electrically conductive adhesives for EMC shielding as well as thermally conductive adhesives. The company focuses on adhesives based on epoxy resins or an epoxy hybrid mixture. As a result, the adhesives have the advantage that they cure quickly and achieve a long service life. Furthermore, these materials can be used well as underfillers or globtop substances, as they creep easily into gaps and cavities and thus protect the components and contacts from environmental influences.
In addition to standard products, Roartis offers the development and manufacture of special products, similar to Emil Otto GmbH. The adhesives are mixed according to customer requirements. The mixing ratios are evaluated in close cooperation with the customer.
"Since our acquisition of Emil Otto GmbH in the first half of 2014, we have continuously worked on expanding and restructuring our product portfolio and adapting it to customer requirements. It is particularly important to us that our customers can obtain all consumables for the area of assembly and connection technology from us. This saves our customers a lot of time when researching and ordering and they have a single, competent point of contact. When selecting our partners, it was important to us that we work with companies that have an interest in both small and large customers and serve both sides with the same quality," says Geßner, explaining the decision.
Emil Otto GmbH will be presenting its entire product range for the first time at this year's productronica in Munich, in Hall A4, Stand110.
