We present innovative special flux concentrates for strip tinning and radiator construction

Our EO-M-023 and EO-M-024 were developed for the continuous surface finishing of copper and brass strips.

We, Emil Otto GmbH, a leading supplier of flux and surface technology, present the flux concentrates EO-M-023 and EO-M-024. These versatile fluxes have been specially developed for demanding tinning and soldering processes such as Strip tinning and radiator production and set new standards in efficiency and quality.

Surface finishing of copper and brass strips

Both the EO-M-023 as well as the EO-M-024 were developed for the continuous surface refinement of copper and brass strips and wires with pure tin, Sn/Pb and other Sn alloys. The main areas of application are in the field of strip tinning and in the Radiator manufacturing can be found. The fluxes differ in their bromide content and do not contain any heavy metal compounds such as zinc or zinc ammonium chloride. They are also free of zinc, copper and iron ions. Both EO-M-023 and EO-M-024 consist of inorganic-organic halogen compounds. The fluxes are characterized by their ability to dissolve oxides spontaneously and intensively, while they gradually disintegrate at temperatures of around 230-280°C. Thanks to an adapted process, hardly any residues remain. The EO-M-023 and EO-M-024 combine these properties and thus enable intensive oxide dissolution with a low-residue process. This guarantees a clean and reliable surface finish.

Flux concentrates for soldering in strip tinning and radiator construction

The EO-M-023 and EO-M-024 are characterized by a high throughput speed and fast drying. "Both fluxes are fully miscible with water," emphasizes Markus Geßner, Head of Marketing and Sales at Emil Otto GmbH. The application dilutions range from 1:1 to 1:12 and can be adapted to the respective, specific process requirements. As the EO-M-023 and EO-M-024 are characterized by outstanding wetting, material can be saved due to the low consumption.

Emil Otto's flux concentrates are liquid concentrates and are particularly interesting for customers who require large quantities or manufacture abroad. The concentrates are brought to the correct mixing ratio on site by the customer. This means that the concentrate can be transported more cost-effectively, as the concentrate is shipped in a reduced volume.
