In practice, it has been shown that when used properly, washing of PCBs soldered with this flux can usually be dispensed with. The printed circuit boards are visually clean.
Auf Grund des geringen Alkoholanteils ist es aber im Gegensatz zu rein wasserbasierenden Flussmitteln auch im Winter sehr gut transport- und lagerfähig, da es frostsicher ist. Des Weiteren ist das Flussmittel als Konzentrat erhältlich. „Gerade für Kunden, die große Mengen abnehmen oder im Ausland fertigen, sind unsere neuen Flussmittelkonzentrate interessant“, erklärt Markus Geßner, Marketing- und Vertriebsverantwortlicher der Emil Otto GmbH. Denn alle Konzentrate von Emil Otto können ohne Gefahrstoffkennung und stark volumenreduziert transportiert werden. „Ein Flussmittel wird dann zum Gefahrstoff, wenn es u.a. eine gewisse Menge Alkohol enthält. Unsere Kunden mischen den Alkohol oder das Alkohol-Wasser-Gemisch vor Ort bei“, so Geßner weiter. Des Weiteren können die Konzentrate einfacher und volumenreduzierter verpackt werden.
