VO Anti-Rust Oil is suitable for protecting machinery, vehicles, attachments, and tools used outdoors from corrosion. Typical applications include agriculture, highway maintenance, construction equipment, cable cars, and maritime applications.

Nitinol is used in numerous military and aerospace applications, particularly where conventional materials reach their limits. These include adaptive structures in UAVs and missiles, thermally controlled actuators and valves, vibration and shock absorption systems, miniaturized microactuators, and reliable separation mechanisms in satellite technology. These applications benefit directly from unique properties such as shape memory and superelasticity.

Water-based fluxes are formulations that use water as a carrier medium instead of alcoholic solvents such as IPA or ethanol. They contain organic, halogen-free, and resin-free activators that specifically remove oxide layers from metallic surfaces. Emil Otto develops such systems with optimized drying properties that enable uniform wetting, stable soldering processes, and residue-free results.

The key advantage lies in reduced dependence on volatile commodity markets while maintaining consistent process quality.

Rain does not completely remove all contaminants from solar panels. Pollen, in particular, can form a sticky layer when combined with moisture, causing other particles to adhere to it. For thorough cleaning, special photovoltaic cleaners are therefore often used, such as cleaning products from Emil Otto.

The flux must allow for controlled tin plating so that only the specified length of the strand is wetted. At the same time, it must not damage the cable or strand insulation, nor have a corrosive effect on the resulting connection.

Fast Dry flux dries significantly faster than conventional fluxes. This allows the preheating temperature in the process to be reduced. This minimizes the thermal stress on sensitive TOPCon and heterojunction solar cells and facilitates gentle cell contacting.

In addition to protecting against rust and moisture, VO anti-rust oil can lubricate moving parts and protect them from wear. This makes it particularly suitable for providing seasonal protection for machinery and components during extended periods of damp weather.

A suitable flux must selectively remove the titanium oxide layer, activate surfaces that are difficult to wet, and at the same time minimize corrosive residues. In addition, high process stability, low-residue processing, and suitability for automated manufacturing processes are crucial. Ideally, it should be zinc- and halide-free, non-flammable, and VOC-free.

Solar fluxes help ensure stable and durable solder joints in cell bonding. Optimized flux technology can have a positive impact on process reliability, electrical reliability, and long-term module performance.

Specially developed cleaning agents are suitable for photovoltaic modules; they remove dirt without damaging the glass surface or the modules’ coatings. Professional cleaners, such as Emil Otto’s photovoltaic cleaning products, are frequently used in the solar industry.
